4th Tuesday. Tired after last night: Didn't do much today except -
wrote letter to Mr. Youngman - want him to let us repeat only one
name. went up to D's for tea - dinner rather - very kind of them -
Had evening & more company after. got home after 12 - tired
Amy there : Mrs. W. couldn't come down with her - got ill - hope she
can come Thursday. Letter from Minnie (Townville) she's sending one
parcel she say - poor old girl

anniversary of Jack Dawson's death to-day. How time flies
6th. Wednesday. How much has happened since this day
5 years. But ~ Thank God for all His mercies : This day
week (Aug 30th.) my dear husband stood up & publicly with
me at Mr. Varley (evangelists) meeting repeated John 5th
chap 24th. verse. ~ & Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
7th. Thursday. Our 5th anniversary ~ Surely goodness & mercy
has followed me all the way. Since during this time has
my life been spared ~ to do His work I trust. Dear Mum
came home tonight after being away 4 months. Bringing
the youngest (6th) of my dear lost sister's ~ Dear girl! Little
did I think I should be caring for darling Edith's child. Dear
little Mammy. Thank God for sparing her to come back to me
I knew God will bring care for her. My happiest anniversary
The Lord bless us & keep us : The Lord make His face shine
upon us & be gracious unto us ; the Lord lift up the light
of His countenance upon us & give us peace. Amen!
