My sabbath days [crossed out] (have) [added above] ( now) are not
my happiest as they used to be ...
I think the weeping prophet could
scarcely feel more keenly than I do
when he said ... rivers of water &c

[three blank lines]

Nov 18th ... Went to the little chappel [sic] ...
heard my much esteemed friend
Mr Gerler, scarcely knew how to get
home ... felt very weak and so sad ...
In the afternoon my dear Sarah and
husband with the dear little fellow
came ... they went home early on ac-
count of threatened storm that
came in earnest accompanied
by a copious downpour of rain ma-
king many hearts glad ... Many
will believe [crossed out] (th) to their comfort
that the present rain is in answer
to special prayers offered for it.

Prayer was made ... Rain is descend-
ing. Shall not see dear Hannah
this evening ... How much those
dear girls do to make me cheerful ...
God bless them and their brothers ...
My poor boys ... I must believe them
all God's children. Could I but
be deliverest from this anxiety about
those so dear, life I think would
be a delight ... Bestow thy blessings
O, my Saviour abundantly.

"Is any thing too hard for thee
Almighty Lord of all"
