Whereas by an Act of the Governor and Legislative Council of New South Wales, passed on the fourteenth year of Her Majesty's Reign, entitled "An Act to extend

"the provisions of an Act

"passed in the eleventh year

"of Her present Majesty,

"entitled 'An Act for the

"regulation of Steam Navigation

"and for requiring sea-

"going vessels to carry boats

“to all Steam Vessels," it was, amongst other things,

enacted

enacted that it should be lawful for the said Governor to extend the said Act to such parts and places in the Colony of New South Wales and its Dependencies as He, from time to time, should think fit, by Proclamation in the New South Wales Government Gazette; ^ [added on right] ... (And whereas it appears to me fit and proper that the P. Act should be hence forth extended to the parts & places hereonafter mentioned) ... How therefore I the Governor aforesaid, [crossed out] (by this) in pursuance of the power and authority so vested in me by the said recited Act, do,

by this my Proclamation hereby direct that the provisions of the said Act, be extended to ^ [added from the left] ... (the Harbour & the Port of Moreton Bay and to the Rivers in) ... [crossed out] ... (and other waters of) ? ... the County or reputed County of Stanley in the said Colony and other waters adjacent to this Harbour & Port.
