I have the honor to
acknowledge the receipt
of your Circular No. 349
of 25th February, reminding
me that a year has elapsed
since a Report was called
for, upon the state of the
Aboriginal Reserves in my
District, and [crossed out] (in writing)
- of the necessity of
sending one without
further delay. - In
hastening to obey the
Commands of His
Excellency The Governor,
I beg leave to state
that I was entirely
ignorant of what Native
Reserves had been
established here, until
in the month of November
