Sir,
On the 22nd March last I forwarded to the Bank of New South Wales Brisbane two orders on the Colonial Treasury with the a/c's [accounts] annexed being for rations and forage supplied as Government Contractor to Mr Assistant Surveyor Bagot.
In Warrant.
The order for forage was ......................... £ 22. 13. 0
The other for rations am'g [amounting] to ... 40. 5. 4

It is now nearly four months since I forwarded the a/c's to the Brisbane Bank, and from the letter just rec'd from
the

the Manager of the Bank, he states that they are not paid.
I shall feel much obliged by your informing me, the reason why they have not been paid, and by your expediting the payment of them, as the now payment of them has put me to serious inconvenience and loss.
