Sir, I have the Honor to enclose a letter from the [...Messrs] Archer, gentlemen of much respectability in this district, on the subject of certain outrages committed by the Aborigines on their station in the month of Sept'r last. There were about the same time two poor lads murdered upon the Station of
Comm O' Connell can be informed for the satisfaction of the Settlers in his District of the proposed distribution of the Native Police which the Force is [...calculated] in which it is hoped will this effectively check any further outrage. ChFR [overwritten through above] Noted

Messrs Foster & Blaxland. but since that period I have heard of no outrage or violence until the day before yesterday. A Chinaman in the employment of Mr Reid, immediately in this neigbourhood was so seriously hurt that doubts are entertained of his ultimate recovery I have informed [...] Messrs Archer that their letter has been submitted for the consideration of government.
