To the Honble
The Colonial Secretary
Sir
I have the honor to
inform you that another out-
rage has been committed by the
Blacks on my station, a shepherd
has been murdered and his
flock of Fourteen hundred sheep
taken, which with great
exertion I have been enabled
to recover. This outrage would
not in all probability have
occurred had the Native
[marginalia]
Let Mr Hay
be informed in
accordance with
the extract from
the Commandant's
letter herewith.
