I cannot close the mention
of this transaction without
bringing under the notice of His
Excl'y the Governor General the
zeal and good conduct of Mr
Bannister the Chief. Constable at
Gayndah whom I always find
ready to afford his assistance
even when asked to do so on
occasions which might be
considered beyond the strict
line of his duty.
