with the request contained in
his letter, a copy of which I
forwarded to you in my last
communication on this subject.
I had come to give him what
assistance it was in my power
to afford and that if he would
point out to me any of the
parties of Aborigines who
had been guilty of the outrages,
of which he complained I would
take measures to apprehend
or remove them.
I was glad to find that no
further depredations had been
committed since the 19th and
after riding with Mr Mason.
for three days over the run in
different directions I came to
the conclusion that the blacks
who had been stealing sheep
had moved off Elsewhere and
Mr Mason expressing himself
satisfied of this fact and
thankful for the assistence
he had recieved I left him
on the afternoon of the 27th.
