mitigation he was pleased both to recommend and forward
with the Petition to His late Excellency General Darling
after a mature consideration of your Petitioners [sic] case
but which recommendation has not been attended to owing
to the numerous and important matters demanding General
Darlings [sic] attention on his removal from the Colony -

Petitioner therefore humbly Prays that your Excellency
will concede to him the mitigation
recommended by His Honor Judge
Stephen and restore Petitioner to his
liberty which he is fully determined
if restored he will not again abuse

and Petitioner will as in duty
