Sir,

In the absence of the Inspector
of Colonial Hospitals, I have the honor to
acknowledge the receipt of your letter of
the 23rd Instant transmitting patterns of
Flannel and cotton caps; and in reply I beg
to acquaint you, for the information of
His Excellency the Governor, that the Cotton
caps have been supplied, and are well
adapted for the use of the Patients in
Hospital, but that those made of
Flannel have not been supplied, neither
are they suitable for the purpose required.
