Sydney 26th March 1828

Sir/

I beg to inform you that
on lifting the Rigging from off the Fore
Mast of the Barque Lucy Ann, the Mast
was found to be slightly sprung, therefore
I respectfully beg to suggest that the Commandant
at Moreton Bay be instructed to procure
a Spar suitable to make a new one for
her. I further beg to suggest that the
Prisoner as named on the Margin, an
experinced [sic] Shipwright, be permitted to select
the Spar, and prepare it for being shipped.
