I do wish you could find something to keep your spirits up instead of being so lost at Southport. The chaps who offended you at those dances are plentiful these days, both races. Their women from what I'm told are quite disgusting. Those who tolerate them are either bireds of feather, else they're not very fussy. Thank heavens I still have my pride, & even prejudice.

Goodnight to you my dearest one, think well of me, won't you? I'm nobody's, but yours. How lovely it is to know all my clothes are ready to step into so soon as I erach home. You're a darling!

Yours, forever & a day Nancy,

P.S. My love to all at home.
