Tonight is one of those moonlight nights which make me so very very lonely. Is it teasing & haunting you too darling?

The desire to leave camp at night to see some entertainment, or go dancing, hasn't entered my mind. Any spare hours that come my way are taken up either in reading or writing, & I'm happiest this way. Already it's 11pm E.S.T. I've been discussing medical routines with our visiting M.O. till 10.30.

I have had no recurrence of fever thank goodness, and the clot of blood on my face has vanished completely.

No mail yet from Lae, pet. They're very slow in sending it on.

To get to bed at a reasonable hour & post this in the morning, I'll have to cut this letter short darling.
