I could not get compassionate leave any time I wanted it. But 2 weeks leave wouldn't solve any of our problems - I am angling for a transfer, or a board. Lieut Bishop wrote saying he's being reclassified as C3 & at least "B". This year P.I.B. eliminated half a dozen offices; all are being boarded unfit, and thry've never had a quarter of my ills. Their C.O. evidently recommended them for reclassification.
Soon as I get into hospital with my usual complain I'll try hard again to get our of the island.

K won't try to answer your letter tonight. All I want to do is assure you that my doubts now seem unjustified. What I've read tonight fills me brimming over with love for you.
