My Own Darling Husband,
No letter from you to date, I fully expected one last night but no luck. You told me you had dysentry when you last wrote, I do hope you are alright. I know just how sick that makes one, especially if you have bad tucker and no comforts. It is so long since I have heard from you I fear you must be ill.
It is Saturday afternoon, we couldn't go touring this afternoon, it was last Saturday we went out to the Aerodrome . I told you about it in a previous letter, I enjoyed every minute of it. It is a dull after-noon [afternoon], I suppose it will be raining cats and dogs to-morrow [tomorrow], but that is nothing unusual on my day off. It is great to think to-morrow is Sunday, I am going to sleep in if I can, I do love my bed at any time.
It [It's] almost four o'clock, I will be glad when it is five, time to go home.
I had onions for dinner again today I can still taste them, some people say they are good for you I hope so I eat so many.
I am going to the dentist on Monday, I made an appointment last Monday, I want a filling done. I am determined I don't want to have any more teeth out unless I really have to. Are you looking after your teeth, I hope you are getting good dental treatment, your teeth were so nice.
I havn't [haven't] done much today, apart from raising a few calls for Mr. Marlin and dashing around for some information after lunch, which only took me half an hour. He is great to work for, fair and considerate.
It is dead in here Saturday afternoon, I don't know why we can't have the half day off. We don't do much as all the contractors close down.
I still can't get over my watch going again, it is a miracle, I never expected to hear it ticking again.
Alan you would laugh at Jan, my knees fascinate him, of course you know whatlovely [what lovely] knees I have. As soon as I sit at the table he is around to sit on my lap, but before he does pushes my dress above my knees. He will scramble under the table and start pinching them, and I see his little head pop out to see how I am taking it, he has a grin from ear to ear. He always greets me with the word lol lol, I love the way he says it, he screwws [screws] up his face.
Last night the little girl from over the street came over for some-thing, she is a couple of months older than Jan. She wanted to take his teddy bear home and didn't he got [get] upset, he grabbed my hand to take it from her and when that didn't work he took it himself. Jan is a real boy, he is a beautiful baby, adorable.
