Some of the contributors have re-
cently expressed to me a doubt
whether the original scheme will
be prosecuted. To that I could
only reply that as I knew nothing
on the subject, I could say
nothing, but that meanwhile their
notes would of course remain
subject to the ultimate decision
of the Trustees.

I very much wish that if any
early movement for resumption
arises one of your Commtee. (on
finance) should come here that
we might decide on the best
course to pursue with the notes.
As to any interest being realizable
from the Principal Fund for a
long time to come seems to me
quite hopeless."
