CANNADA ELECTED KING-TEEN

Willie Cannada was elected by
the Seniors and faculty to
represent Taylors at the annual
King-Teen week-end at Wafford.
Willie was elected on the basis
of his leadership, personality,
and scholarship.

Willie is very active in
school activities. He is a
four letterman in football and
has played basketball for two
years. This year he was elected
to play on the upper county
all-star team.

Willie, who is liked by all,
is serving as Senior Class
President.

Willie is the son of Mr. &
Mrs. J. L. Cannada. He is a
member of the First Baptist
Church of Taylors.

EDITOR IS AWARD WINNER

Gail Moss will be awarded D.A.R.
Citizenship award at graduation.
She was elected by the Senior
Class and facility. Gail was
electedd [elected] for her leadership,
personality, and scholarship.
Gail has held many officers in
different clubs. Some of her
activites are: Eagle Staff
Editor, J.H.A., Block T, Glee
Club, F.B.L.A., and Beta Club.

Gail has been a cheerleader
for the past three years and
was electedd [elected] to serve as head
cheerleader for this year.

Gail is the daughter of Mr. &
Mrs. R. M. Moss of Taylors.
She is a mmeber of the First
Baptist Church of Taylors. Her

future plans are to attend
Wenthrop [Winthrop] College next year.

LIBRARY CLUB NEWS

The library club held its
3rd annual meeting of the year
January 15. The president
Daren Pyron elected a committee
to write a constitution for the
library. The ones on that
committee are: Betty Ellison,
chairman; Darden Pyron, Tom Patrick,
and Gorden Knight. The
cluba lso elected a scrap book
committee. The ones on that
committee are: Mary Bennefield,
chairman; Malinda Bright, Darden Pyron,
and Betty Ellison. It
was decided to invite the clubs
in the district to attend Taylors
for the next meeting. Officers
of the club are: President,
Darden Pyron; Vice-President,
Mary Bennifield; Secretary,
Gorden Knight; and Treasure,
Nina Kimbrell.

DISTRICT OF F.B.L.A. HOLDS MEET

The District IV Association
of Future Business Leaders of
America held their annual meet-
ing January 10, 1957, at Green-
ville Senior High. Taylors High
had charge of registration and
various other schools had part on
program which lasted from 2:00
p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The entertainment, which includ-
ed the singing of popular songs
by several girls, was supplied
by James F. Byrnes.

The main purpose of the meeting
was to elect officers for 1957-
1958. Schools represented in the
future officers are: President-
Parker High, Vice-President-
Greenville Senior High, Secretary-
Mauldin, Treasurer- Clinton, and
Reporter - Byrnes High.

A new constitution was proposed
by Taylors High and, after discus-
sion, was passed.
