Charles Roberts. Joan is six and
Michael is two and a half. Mr. Roberts
is a clerk in the Gastonia agency.

Nancy Ann Calvert, above, is the
daughter of Agent and Mrs. Lewis Cal-
vert of Mt. Holly. She will be graduat-
ed this June from Mt. Holly High
School as one of the top seven honor
graduates. If her plans materialize she
will enter Winthrop College next fall.

P. C. White of the Charlotte agency
took his annual vacation during the
last two weeks of April. He spent part
of the time at home and part on fish-
ing trips.

Agent and Mrs. R. R. Vaughan plan-
ned a week's vacation in May to visit
their daughter and family at Oak
Ridge, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Goodman spent
the week of May 4 visiting in New
York. Mr. Goodman is a clerk in the
Charlotte agency.

Conductor Alfred Helton is recuper-
ating from a recent operation and two
weeks stay at the Mercy Hospital in
Charlotte. Reports indicate that he
is getting along very well.

P & N (S. C. DIVISION)

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil M. Amick of
Spartanburg have announced the birth
of a son, George Clifton, on March 2
at the Spartanburg General Hospital.
Mr. Amick is contract drayman for the
P & N at Spartanburg.

Mrs. Eula Clapp and family visited
her sister, Mrs. Philip Case, in Hender-
sonville, N. C. during the week-end of
April 19. Mrs. Clapp is clerk in the
Greenvlle agency.

Miss Maude Austin, steno-clerk, visit-
ed her sister, Mrs. S. R. Cathey in
Hendersonville, N. C. recently.

J. Rowley Smith, of the Mechanical
Department, Greenville shops, has re-
turned to work after recovering from
a serious operatioon at the Greenville
General Hospital several weeks ago.

Cpl. R. H. Smith, formerly assistant
rate clerk in the Greenville agency,
has now been stationed at Fort Belvoir,
