Walter Williams being sworn say
on Jan 31st 1905 He and Tom
Williams had a fallingout about the
slabs Mr Beckenbaugh told me to throw
down some to fire with some was
so long they reached across the pit
Tom Williams cursed me about
it, I said Tom you have no right
to curs me Mr Bedenbaugh told me
to throw them down then he says
dont you like what I said I told
no I did not like it and I reaches
after a piece of scanthing an fell
I got up He struck me with
shovel I strted on back to work
I did not see Verg strike Tom
but I saw him run and Verg
did not come back to work

Dr C D East being sworn say
Having having been instructed by the
coroner W D Wats this April 21 1905
to make an examination of the
body of Tom Williams deceased I find
and abcess of right lunch [illegible] lake
also examined the posterior brains
and membranes this [illegible] showed
the effect of a real injury from
which the dead man suffered
the cause of death was due to
the [illegible] doubtless hastened by
the injury alluded to
