Inquest of Charlie Long
April 9th 1905

Jean Copeland being sworn says
that on the 9th of April 1905 about 11 [?] oclock
am [a.m.] Mr Charlie Lond [Long?] Robert Long and
myself were playing Robert Long had an
old pistol with one bull [bullet] in it he was
snaping [snapping] it. I was not scared of it because
I knew it wold [would] not shoot he snaped [snapped]
it at Charlie Long and pistol fired
hitting him in the head he did not
crie [?] but after [?] minuts [minutes] he did not
speak they wer [were] not mad with
each other I am 11 years old

John Copeland being sworn says
this morning Apl [April] 9th 1905 about
11 clock [o'clock] I heard a pistol fire.
I saw the old pistol last night it had
one Bull [bullet] in it had been snaped [snapped]
on, a good many thing [time?] I saw it
snaped [snapped] a good many time this am [?]
