Coopers place in Laurens county the 28 day
of Feb A.D 1912 before RO Hairston coroner
for said count upon view of the dead
body of Thad R Cooper of Laurens County
then and there being dead by the oath of

bring alawful [a lawful] jury of inquest who bring [being]
charged and sworn to inquire for the state
of South Carolina where and by what means
the said Thad R Cooper came to his death upon
their oths do say
that Thad R Cooper came to his death from a gun
shot wound in his own hands the gun being
accidently discharged and so the jurors
aforesaid upon there [their] oaths aforesaid do say
that the aforesaid Thad R Cooper in manner
and form aforesaid came to his death
in witness where of I RO Hairston coroner
aforesaid and the jury aforesaid to this inquisition
have interchangeably put our hands and seals
