Mr Robertson clerk at Hotel came
up to Police hed gesrturs & said their
was a dead Negro dead at the Hotel
I came down there with Mr Meldaw about
11 oclock the door was closed i unfastened
it and he and i went in the body was lying
like it was with her cloths on except
from waist up i took hold her and felt her
puls and she was cold she had been
dead one hour more or less at 11 oclock
The closet door was open and apon
within femeal syrange in it the water
was milky calar no sign of violence
