An Ordinance to prevent people from interfering with or obstructing firemen of the City of Greenville in the discharge of their duty.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Greenville in Council assembled and by the authority of the same.
Sec. I. That from and after the passage of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to prevent, interfere with, or obstruct in any manner what the firemen of the City of Greenville or any of them in the discharge of their duty by getting on the reel, being in front of said firemen on bicycles in buggies or other vehicles or otherwise. And all persons are hereby required to give gree passage and unobstructed right of way to the said firemen when responding to a fire alarm.
Sec.II. Any person or persons convicted violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not exceeding twenty-five dollars or be imprisoned not exceeding thirty days either or both at the discretion of the Mayor or acting Mayor.
Done and ratified in Council assembled this the 7th., day of April A. D. 1896.

New Ordinance
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Greenville, in Council assembled, and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. That from and after the passage of this Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person or persons running hacks or carriages for hire, to stand said vehicles in the Main streets and thoroughfares of said City, provided, however, that nothin herein contained shall prevent said vehicles in the recess of the new court house, or such other place not used as such public thoroughfare.
Sec. 2. Any person persons convicted of violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less that five dollars or imprisoned not less than thirty days, either or both in the discretion of the Mayor or Acting Mayor.

An Ordinance to Enforce Vaccination.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Greenville, in Council assembled and by the authority of the same.
That it shall be unlawful for any person in the City of Greenvill to resist vaccination by any physician authorized and employed by said city.
Any person so making resistance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than five nor more than twenty five dollars, or be imprisoned not less than ten nor more than thirty days by the Mayor or Acting Mayor.
That this Ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage.
