The above would be held to be
a fair distribution of the supposed
number of fry from your hatchery
In all draw your attention
to the very great necessity that
[?] for having these fry put into
the several streams in a most careful
manner, by putting them in safe
places far up the river, where
the bottom of the stream would
be most naturally adapted for
the safety and growth of the fry--
Some dissatisfaction has been
[?] as to the manner in which
your young fish have hitherto been
"dumped as it were" into the streams
and without exercizing such
good judgment as should be paid
to the carrying out of a work which
demands the utmost care and
and attention for a successful result for the labours
and expense incurred in the protection of the young salmon
from your Establishment-- your best [?] must be [?]
to this work of distribution.
