We the magistrates who
revised the Electoral lists for this
Town & district have the honor of
drawing your attention to a letter
addressed by Henry Challinor Esq
JP to the Editor of the Ipswich
Herald published on the 10th Inst
in which the conduct of the
revising Magistrates is animad-
-verted upon in terms both
obnoxious and insulting, accusing
them at the same time of partiality
in

{It will bear to also be sufficient
to give the Magistrates an assurance
of the confidence of the Government
in their desire to discharge [?consisting]
the duties imposed upon them by
the Victoria Act. It would
lead to no good result to
institute [illegible] upon
mere newspaper statements
vague in themselves and
notwithstanding of
proof or disproof
