Sir,

I have the honor to state
for the information of His Excellency
the Governor that having in
accordance with His Excellency's
verbal instructions communicated
with Mr Robert Austin on the
subject of his appointment as
Surveyor of the 2nd Class. He has
expressed his readiness to enter
the service of the Queensland
Government, having attained the
sanction of the Government of
Western Australia under which
he is employed at present as Assistant
Surveyor.
