Sir,

In reference to the question
whether the Governor has the power
to cancel the Polling Places after
they have been appointed by himself
in Coincil and Gazetted.

I am of opinion that, reading
the 11th Section of the Acts Shortening
Act 1952 in connection with the
34th Section of the Electoral and
Amendment Act 1858, the Governor in
Council has the power to cancel
the Polling Places.

I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obdt Servant

Ratcliffe Price
Attorney General

The Honble
The Colonial Secretary
Queensland
