"F. by S." means "Free by Servitude". It turns red, because it wasn't one of the choices ("Free" or "Bond") given by the Archives - same as "Presbyterian" or "Pagan" turn red in the religion choices, because they weren't offered. Once you click on "Save", these different selections are accepted.
