The strictly formal and routine business having been
disposed of (April 29, 1908), the lamented death of
Rev. Robert Campbell, M.A., D.Sc., was noted. Dr Campbell
was a distinguished graduate of Queen's, and also of
Edinburgh University. For many years he was a
most alert and useful Trustee and rendered on more
than one occasion, highly valued service as lecturer.
When the Century Fund was launched by the Church,
by unanimous consent he was placed in charge of it.
It was a successful venture, and Queen's Theological
Faculty was recongnized in the division. The Board
deeply regretted Dr. Campbell's comparatively early
death, and expressed its high sense of his usefulness
to his Alma Mater, and the distinguished rank
he had held in the Church. A message of sympathy
was duly sent to Mrs. Campbell and the children.

A good Library is a priceless boon to any hall of
learning, and the authorities were not oblivious of
the fact. As the money chest permittted, valuable
additions to all the departments were made from time
to time, and attention was now given, as not in
earlier days, to the very best dictionaries and
encyclopedias for consultation, and rooms were provided
where students, and members of the Staff could use
them without being disturbed. The Curators were not
unmindful of the important and serviceable
