will recommend him for the degree of Bachelor
of Arts on condition that his certificates
are found to be satisfactory, and that he
stand a satisfactory examination on the following
subjects, the examination to take
place on 21st April 1865, Algebra to end of
Quadratic Equations, Mechanics, (besides a brief
general examination in Mathematics and Natural
Philosophy.) Sophocles Oedipus Coloneus,
vs. 1—725. Livy Book 21. Whately's
Books II, III, Reid's Intellectual Powers, or
Hamilton's Lectures on Metaphysics. Reid's Active
Powers, or Stewart's Active Powers.

The Senatus adjourned to meet on
Friday 2d December at a quarter to one
o'clock.

and approved.

[margin]scholarships[/margin]and discussed, and the following action upon
it agreed to: The Principal engaged to correspond
with respect to the Glasgow scholarship,
and the foundation of an Edinburgh scholarship;
