The Senatus met and was constituted.
Sederunt Dr. Williamson in the Chair
Professors Murray, Bell and Mr. Donald
Ross Fellow of the University and Professor
Mowat.
The minutes of the last meeting were
read and approved.

][margin]J.A. Hope recom-[/margin] Mr. James A. Hope having applied
[margin]mended for M.A.[/margin]for a reconsideration of the decision of the
Senatus upon his Thesis on the ground
that most of the inaccuracies pointed out
were those of the scrivener, and two members
of senatus having verified this statement by
comparing the copy presented to the Senatus
with the original draft, it was agreed
to accept his thesis, and to recommend him
to the Senate for the degree of Master of
Arts.
[margin]J. Dickson & G. Mal-[/margin] Dr. Williamson having stated that
[margin]loch passed Un. Ex.[/margin]on a second revisal of the mathematical and
natural philosophy papers of John Dickson
and George Malloch students of the
second year he had found that 10 should
be added to the marks of the former and
9 to those of the latter, and it having
been ascertained that these additions bring
their marks up to the minimum required,
the Senatus agreed to declare that
