[margin]Jan. 29th 1864[/margin] the Senatus expressed their willingness
to provide rhe necessary accommodation. They
at the same time resolve that in the case
of any such reference again occuring, no
arrangement shall be made without the
authority of the Senatus. The Senatus agreed
to grant Mr. Machar the use of
the Logic Class-room for his lectures.

The Senatus met and was constituted.
Sederunt Dr. Williamson in the
Chair. Professors Murray and Mowat, and
Mr. Donald Ross, Fellow of the University.
The minutes of the former meeting
were read and approved.

[margin]Mr. R. Bell[/margin] There was read an Extract Minute of
[margin]appointed Professor[/margin] a meeting of the Board of Trustees of 10th February intimating the appointment of Mr.
Robert Bell C.E. to the chair of Chemistry
and Natural History.

[margin]Prof. Mowat] There was read an Extract Minute of
[margin]appointed Secretary[/margin] a meeting of the Board of Trustees of 10th
February intimating the appointment of Prof.
Mowat as secretary to the Senatus.

[margin]Min. of B. of T.[/margin] There was read an Extract minute of
[margin]government of Col.[/margin] a meeting of the Board of Trustees of 10th February
anent the government of the College.

[margin]Mr. E. Macaulay's[/margin] Mr. Evan Macaulay who completed
[margin]application for B.A.[/margin] his Course of study last session having
applied to be examined for the degree of B.A.,
