The first meeting of the newly elected Board of
directors took place this day in the College building at
4:30 pm

Present: Messrs R. V. Rogers, R. M. Horsey, Principal
Grant, A. P. Knight, and Mrs. Dickson & Miss Gildersleeve.
Also the Dean, Dr. T.M. Fenwick.

Mr C.J.B. Pense was unanimously chosen
chairman & R.V. Rogers, Vice-chairman of the Board.

The following a/cs were examined and ordered
to be paid; Mr McRossie $2.00; Daily News $6.00;
McKelvey & Birch $5.00; J. Laird $2.75; A.M. Horsey $5.50.

It was agreed also to pay the caretaker a
portion of his salary.

It having recently come to the knowledge of the
Board that the lecturer at the opening address of the
session seemed to reflect on Dr K.N. Fenwick,
and had not offered any apology thereforr, the
Board request the President to express to Dr. Fenwick
its regret at the occurrence & to assure him
of their high appreciation of all his past services.

Dr McVety having tendered his resignation
as professor of Physiology, the Board resolved
to place on record, and hereby does place
upon record its appreciation of his services to the
college & its wishes for his future wellfare [sic}.

The Dean's action in placing Dr
Cunningham in charge of the teaching of Physiology
during the remainder of the session was
approved by the Board.

After hearing a committee of the students
regarding some grievances with which they wished to acquaint
the Board, the members adjourned sine die.
