The Senate having made the necessary
inquiries resolved that at the statutory meeting
they would on the usual conditions
confer the degree of D.D. upon the Rev.
John Black of Kildonan, Manitoba.

In consideration of the present state
of health of the Rev. Patrick Gray the
excellent and able minister of Chalmers'
Church, Kingston, the Senate agreed
not to proceed with their resolution of
Jan. 22d in regard to conferring upon
him the degree of D.D.

centennial exhibition
[/margin]

A letter was read from the Secretary
of the Minister of Education offering on
behalf of the Education Department to
take charge of such statistics, reports, and
photographs as the Senate might desire to
send to the Centennial Exhibition. The Senate
agreed to accept this offer, and the
Secretary was instructed to transmit the
above named documents etc. to Toronto without
delay.
