was resolved that while sympathizing with
the said College in its endeavour to raise
the standard of professional attainment
yet the Senate constituted as at present does
not deem it advisable that it should assume
the responsiblity of conferring degrees
in dentistry and therefore respectfully
declines to encourage negotiations having in
view the affliation of the Royal College
of Dental Surgeons with this University

The Senate met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Mowat, Dupuis and
Watson.

The minutes of the last meeting
held April 6th were read and approved.

admitted to examination

The Senate agreed to allow Alexander
McKillop who has attended classes only
since the Christmas holidays to appear
at the coming examination, he having
been prevented by sickness from attending
during the previous part of the
session.

medical certificate
A. Love

A medical certificate was read on
behalf of Andrew Love to the effect that
he had been prevented by sickness from
engaging in close study during the latter
part of the session.

The Senate proceeded to revise the
Calendar for next session.
