appointment, surely you are

delights to honour." We trust
you may long be spared to prove
worthy of the great trust
committed to your hands. You
well deserve this honour, as you
have been a hard worker, as
Gilbert Rae said to me, I
cannot understand Mr Buchan. I
except he must work night & day
