Dec 25 Monday 1983 Christmas Ground nearly bare. Charley, Belle & Children came down in sleigh for the first Christmas they were ever here. We had a very pleasant time and would have had a better but we were none of us well from the grip, and Belle says if all is well, she, Charles and the children will spend next christmas with us. Well they go home early but got caught in rain before reaching home but they sat in bottom of sleigh and Charley covered them [illegible] with Buffalo robes so they wouldn't get wet.
