were read, stating that the communication of the Council in reference
to the leasing of waters would receive early attention

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the communication of Minister of Marine and
Fisheries be referred to the Committee on the Market

A communication from the Clerk of the Council of Pembroke
was read in reference to the Liquor License Act

On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald Snook
Ordered, That the communication be referred to the
Committee on Licenses

A communication from the Collectors was read in reference
to the returning of 1879 rolls

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the letter of the City Collectors be referred
to the Committee on Back Taxes with a request for a final
report at next meeting

A communication from Timothy Duffy was read
respecting broken stone

There was no action taken thereon

A requisition from the messenger for wood was read
and referred to the Mayor
