A Special meeting of the Council of the Corporation
of the City of Kingston was held this day. Present

Allen, Dupuis, Gaskin, Harty, Maloney,
McIntyre, McMahon, Snook
The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

A Special meeting of the Council of the Corporation
of the City of Kingston was held this day to consider the
budget and By Laws. Present
His Majesty The Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Clements, Fee, Gaskin, CF Gildersleeve,
JP Gildersleeve, Harty, Irving, Law, Maloney,
McCammon, McGuire, McIntyre, McMahon,
McRossie, Pense, Snook, Wilson
The Committee of the whole on the Budget resumed
Ald Law in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
The Report (No 19 Book E) read clause by clause and
adopted as amended by the following resolutions
On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the clause relative to salaries be
received and adopted, without recognizing the liability
of Council to pay the $50 mentioned or any other sum
to any one
On motion of Ald Harty seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the item of $600 appropriated for
David street drain be expunged from the budget and
that the appropriation of Victoria and Rideau wards be
increased by the sum of $200 and $300 respectively in
order that these sums may be used in the construction of David
street drain and that the appropriation of Cataraqui Ward
be increased by the sum of One Hundred Dollars.
The Report was received
On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered that the sum of one hundred
and thirty dollars given as a special
appropriation to York street last year be
inserted in the Budget it having
been omitted.
