Ald Pense moves seconded by Ald Irving
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas be laid over until next meeting to then have precedence over
other reports - which being put was carried and the original
motion was lost

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market brought
up a Report respecting the construction of a pier (No 1)

Ald Fee moves seconded by Ald Anglin
That the report of the market committee be received and
adopted - which being put was lost

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market brought
up a second report (Number 772 Book D No 2) which was
read

Ald Fee moves seconded by Ald WIlson
That the report (No 2) of the Committee on the Market
be received and adopted

In amendment
Ald Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald Irving
That that portion of the Report in regard to enforcing of the
By Law in regard to Fish be struck out - which being put was
carried Yeas 11 Nays 7 and the Report was adopted as amended

Ald Pense moves seconded by Ald McRossie
That the rule and orders of this Council be amended
by changing the hour of meeting from half past seven OClock
to eight OClock and that this stand as a notice of motion

Ald Gildersleeve gives notice of a By Law respecting the office
of City Commissioners and tha this be the first reading of
the By Law

Ald Snook gives notice that he will at the next meeting of
the Council introduce "A By Law to provide for the numbering of
buildings and other erections along the streets of the Corporation
of the City of Kingston in the County of Frontenac, Province
of Ontario

On motion the Council adjourned
