Ordered, That the Council go into Committee of the Whole
on the second reading of the "By Law to repeal the By Law
entitled "A By Law relative to Dogs passed September
27th 1875"

The Council went into Committee of the Whole
Ald Anglin in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was
received.

The 29 Rule was suspended and the By Law was
read a third time and passed

On motion the Council adjourned until tomorrow
evening at 7.30 OClock

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day pursuant to adjournment

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Anglin, Dupuis, Fee, Gaskin,
CF Gildersleeve, JP Gildersleeve, Harty,
Irving, Law, Maloney, McGuire, McIntyre,
McMahon, Pense, Snook

The Mayor stated the adjourned meeting was for
the purpose of considering the Municpal Amendments
and other business

Ald Pense rose to a question of knowledge and
submitted a statement of Appropriations and expenditure
of Frontenac Ward for the Year 1879 made by William
Coverdale City Engineer which was read

Ald Gaskin handed in a statement of Mr Coverdale
of Wards overdrawn for 1879

A communication from JH Metcalfe Esquire MPP
was read relative to bill abolishing Market Tolls &c

The Chairman from the Select Committee on
Municpal Amendments brought up a Report (Number
761 Book D No 2) which was read

On motion of Ald CF GIldersleeve seconded by Ald Gaskin
