28th Novemeber 1892

To the Honble
Colonial Secretary
Brisbane --

Sir
The manager of Gamboola
Station, Mitchell river—wires me
that it is intended to remove the Police
from Highbury.

I hope that such is not the
case, as it is only a few months
since the blacks killed a good
many cattle on Gamboola, and
I am told that many of our neigh =
bours have found the same thing
occur with them.—our horses
are not safe from them when out
of the paddocks. --

I hope it will be considered
in the interests of all that the Police
will remain some time longer.
There will be droving next year to
the Normanton Boiling through that country.

I am - Yours obediently
Edwd Palmer
