Sir,

I am the eldest brother of Mr
Mark Beresford of the Queensland
Police who was killed by the
Blacks near Cloncurry on the
night of the 24th of January of
this year, and I have the honor
most respectfully to request that
you will lay before the Govt of
Queensland this my most
earnest request that some
provision may be made
to the widow of my brother
