Dear Sir,

Herewith I beg to call your attention to a
large mob of blacks that is camped about 1 1/2 miles above
my hut on the Kennedy.

The Kennedy have [sic] always been the chief run
for all my cattle there is always a plentiful supply of
grass and water and when mustering we could always de-
pend on getting a large mob at any time by going for
them.

But last Monday four white men (my son, Mr
Nicholas and his son and Wm. Foley), and their Boys com-
menced mustering there and only returned yesterday and
all the cattle they seen [sic] on the Kennedy was about 50
Head and those was so wild that they had great trouble
before they could get near them.

Kindly let me know the reason why my Run is
not patrolled the same as other station owner's runs are
patrolled in this district it is useless sending only
one constable to remove them because they are always
back in their camp in one hour after the constable have [sic]
left.
