Constable Stiles, Reg No. 443, respectfully applies to the Commissioner of Police, for a transfer from Georgetown to Port Douglas.
In the event of the Commissioner not feeling disposed to grant this transfer, the Constable trusts that this will be accepted as his resignation, and he will feel obliged if result is made known to him as early as possible.

Constable Stiles makes this application in consequence of my having reproved him when on the late Gold Escort duty - once for making too much noise after the watch was set for the night, and twice (when in the advance) for not following the right road which he should have known thoroughly. With the above exceptions and for making many mistakes in the office, I have had no fault to find with the Constable.
