Skinner. Original talk by Estes. Debate by
Lord on the af. Francis on the neg. Qu
ought all law allowing imprisonment
for a debt to be abolished by law. Decided
in the af. Votes standing 24 to 7. Proceeded
to business. Duryee requested a dismission from
the Society. Voted that he be honorably? honorably
dismiss. R. Smith was then chosen to fill
the office of Secretary in place of Duryee
resigned. A. Hays was appointed committee
man in place of R. Smith. The exercises
were then concluded by an original comp
by Campbell. Adjourned.
