my dear mother This afternoon if it does not rain I expect to walk to Haggett's Pond and hope to take a sail and perhaps a dip as it has been very warm lately. Mr. Comstock did not have me up to day for which I was rather glad. Last evening I paid two calls; one upon Mr. Comstock and one upon Mr. Beach and the latter was very pleasant. I feel well. W.W.S.

my dear mother The swim which I took yesterday was very nice and I do not feel any the worse for it. This morning a photograph was taken of the Academy with most of the boys standing or sitting around. Our class was taken also and I hope the picture will be good. A nice letter came from thee this morning but as thee had not received mine of First Day thee did not answer the question I feel well.

My dear mother Although cousin Sallie will not be at West Medford tomorrow I think I will go to Boston for the afternoon as I have quite an important errand to do besides the pictures. Mr. Comstock had me up to day and I did not flunk. I have on one of my new colored shirts and it seems very nice. It is much cooler to day than it was a short time ago and much pleasanter. I feel well and hope you are. W.W.S.
