My dear Mother
Just twenty five of us started yesterday in a six
horse barge at about 1/4 of 3. Before we had gone much over a mile
we upset owing to the poor sleighing but no one was hurt enough
to speak of. We got to Haverill without further mishap and had
a good dinner there and drank the toasts with nothing stronger than
lemonade. After that we went to the Bradfod Fem Sem where
mere Boy and Barty to introduce some of us to the Principal and
we stayed there from 7 1/2 till 10 and got home about 12 1/2.
We had a splendid time with no serious drawback whatever.
I have not seen the magazine of which thee spoke but would
like to read the piece about Pounds Pond very much. How
nice for Anna and Het to have an extra week. I am very glad
that thee is strong enough to go to town without being tired out
I feel well. W.W.S.
