My dear mother

Father's letter arrived yesterday and
thine today for both of which I am much obliged
We do not have holiday tomorrow which is rather
provoking as I have been looking forward to
a very pleasant day. We are going to have
a recitation and half past 8 and another as half
past 4 which breaks the day up very much.
